In May, it is worth noting that in order to further deepen the reform of transmission and distribution electricity prices, better ensure the safe and stable supply of electricity, and promote the high-quality development of the power industry, the National Development and Reform Commission issued the latest provincial power grid transmission and distribution electricity prices, which will be implemented from June 1, 2023.

It is also worth noting that the National Development and Reform Commission has issued a document stating that it encourages industry leading enterprises, large state-owned enterprises, multinational corporations, and other enterprises to consume green electricity, and supports the full utilization of local renewable energy resources such as wind, light, biomass, and geothermal energy in counties or towns. It is also necessary to build a distributed green and low-carbon comprehensive energy network according to local conditions to increase the proportion of green electricity used in rural areas.

In addition, the National Energy Administration has issued a document stating that some decentralized wind power projects are exempt from electricity business licenses. On the basis of the existing licensing exemption policy, decentralized wind power projects connected to 35kV and below voltage level power grids nationwide will be included in the scope of licensing exemption, and no longer require obtaining an electricity business license.
