Wind Power Industry News
On June 30, the first "Flywheel energy storage+million Kilopower intermediate secondary reheat thermal generator unit combined frequency modulation" project in China was officially put into operation in Huaneng Laiwu Power Plant, filling the gap in the application of "Flywheel energy storage+million unit combined frequency modulation" technology in China. The project uses 10 single 600 kW Flywheel energy storage devices, which are jointly operated with millions of units of Laiwu Power Plant, to participate in the primary frequency regulation of the power grid. Flywheel energy storage makes use of the advantages of fast response speed, short-term high power, etc. to make up for the shortage of the primary frequency regulation response capacity of millions of units, which can effectively meet the high-frequency frequency regulation demand of the power grid, reduce equipment loss and energy consumption, and is expected to reduce carbon emissions by more than 60000 tons per year.
