The Renewable Energy Green Power Certificate
On the evening of August 3rd, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Finance, and the National Energy Administration officially released the "Notice on Promoting the Full Coverage of Renewable Energy Green Electricity Certificates and Promoting Renewable Energy Electricity Consumption (NDRC Energy [2023] No. 1044)" (hereinafter referred to as the "1044 Document"). The Renewable Energy Green Power Certificate (hereinafter referred to as the "Green Certificate") is an electronic certificate with a unique identification code issued for green power generated by renewable energy power generation projects. The new version of the green certificate will achieve full coverage of renewable energy sources such as water, wind, light, and biomass.
