On November 23, 2022, the 16MW offshore wind turbine developed by Goldwind Technology in collaboration with Three Gorges Group was successfully taken offline in the Fujian Three Gorges Offshore Wind Power International Industrial Park, becoming the wind turbine with the largest impeller diameter, largest single unit capacity, and lightest weight per megawatt in the world at that time.
At the beginning of this year, led by China Shipbuilding Group and independently developed by China National Offshore Engineering Corporation, the H260-18MW offshore wind turbine was successfully developed in the offshore wind power industrial park of Dongying Economic Development Zone in Shandong Province. The global record of the largest single unit power and the largest wind turbine diameter was once again set.
